Isabelle welcomed us into her beautiful home perched on a hill above the Lake of Neuchâtel in Switzerland. It is a delicately decorated apartment—a lovely reflection of her poetic inner world.
Living in a region with a strong Swiss craftsmanship heritage, Isabelle mixes century-old furniture and modern design with carefully chosen organic materials while inviting nature and peace inside. That special blend gives her home a unique, timeless, and feminine atmosphere.
Isabelle now uses her lifelong passion for the beautiful professionally, and her blog, C’est du beau, is a virtual platform for sharing and exploring her creativity and interests.
Apartment Therapy Survey:
Our Style: Natural, soft, poetic.
Inspiration: The nature, the forest, natural lights.
Favorite Element: I love organic material; it must be all-natural, only linen, cotton, and wool.
Biggest Challenge: Since the apartment is rented, I had to deal with original elements that I didn’t like, like the kitchen cabinets, the tiles, the celling that is not original. I focus on beautiful furniture and accessories to hide and distract the viewer.
What Friends Say: Woaw!!
Biggest Embarrassment: The original kitchen cabinets and tiles, the prefabricated celling that I painted white.
Proudest DIY: I did everything by myself, painted all the rooms, the curtains, reupholstered furniture, etc.
Best Advice: To listen to your inner voice so your home is a reflection of your authentic self.
Dream Sources: Flea markets, vintage and antique stores, nature, deco magazines and blogs.
