It was love at first sight when Beatrice saw this West Hollywood rental home in 2015. “It had so much character and was perfect for what I was looking for. I really wanted a place that had some integrity, and especially a place that was very California,” she describes. When it was time to redecorate the Spanish-style bungalow, Bea wanted to create a more grown-up looking space. And since she’s the CEO and co-founder of Hutch, she of course used the home decor app to help her design the space…and was able to get it all designed in about a week!

Hutch is a home decor app that mixes 3D technology with online shopping to let you virtually redecorate your home…and it’s free to use. You can submit an image of your own room, choose a custom template, or even start with a design filter. Bea feels that being able to visualize the different styles and looks for each of her rooms helped her design the space. She loves the end result so much there are new Hutch design filters inspired by Bea’s home. (Petite Boudoir Bedroom, Collected Feminine Living Room and Textured Tulum Dining Room.)

My Style: California contemporary collected

Inspiration: Southern California! I wanted a house that reflected its surroundings and this Spanish-style bungalow was perfect. I immediately fell in love with it as I walked up the beautiful tiled steps leading to the front door.

Favorite Element: Bedroom gallery wall

Biggest Challenge: Extremely small bedroom

Proudest DIY: The olive “tree” in my living room. It’s just branches in a pot!

Biggest Indulgence: Netflix and dinner in bed.
