Many IKEA hackers know all about reconfiguring the BESTA or TRONES storage units, or making something fresh out of KALLAX shelves, but have you thought about all the things you could craft from the Swedish brand’s sheepskin rugs?

IKEA has two sheepskin rug options, both of which are perfectly cozy and hackable. The $30 RENS is made of real sheepskin, while the $10 TOFTLUND is faux. And then there was the TEJN rug, which shoppers loved hacking, but is no longer available.

Below, eight ways to hack the IKEA sheepskin rugs. You can select any of the rugs to get these results, no matter which the original hacker used. They’re essentially a large fur sheet just waiting to be transformed into a soft seat cover, blanket, and so much more!

Pretty in Pink

If all these white sheepskins are too neutral for your taste, Brittni of Paper & Stitch has you covered. Dye the rug in any color you like, opening up new possibilities for other hacks. Try a jewel tone hue and turn it into a stool, or a soft blush for a pillow cover.
