Get Into the Holiday Spirit With IKEA’s 2022 Winter Collections

IKEA is ready to ring in the holiday season. The Swedish retailer recently announced three new winter 2022 collections designed to get shoppers in the mood for the most wonderful time of the year with the brand’s signature Scandinavian sensibilities.

First up is VINTERFINT, a collection of holiday decor inspired by designer Eva Lundgreen’s childhood memories of Christmases spent on her grandmother’s farm in Sweden. Folklore and Scandinavian fairy tale-inspired prints and figures can be found throughout VINTERFINT, featuring pastels and bold stripes to bring a contemporary touch to your holiday decorations.

“I love the playfulness of elves in Scandinavian fairy tales,” Lundgreen said in a release. “I wanted to bring that same playfulness to the patterns we created for [this] collection… I loved taking traditional Scandinavian figures like the julbock (Yule goat) and moose and adding pastel colors and folk art-inspired patterns for a modern twist.”

Featuring everything from tree ornaments and table linens to wrapping paper and gift bags, VINTERFINT even comes with a signature 2022 candle ($9.99). The candle is orange and clove scented, in hopes of evoking traditional Yuletide scents.

Meanwhile, IKEA’s STRÅLA collection is all about bright holiday lights. This year, IKEA has updated STRÅLA decorative LED lighting with new indoor and outdoor options to brighten up those dark winter nights, from battery-operated LED lanterns to star-shaped lampshades and tree lighting chains.

Last but not least, the VINTERSAGA collection is all about elevating the food and drink that make the holiday season so memorable. VINTERSAGA is full of ready-made staples for the season, including chocolate-covered toffees, gingerbread house kits, marshmallow sweets, and mulled fruit drinks.

IKEA’s 2022 winter collections will be available in stores and online starting this October, giving you plenty of time to start vision boarding this year’s holiday decor. Your home will be looking festive before you know it!
