In honor of Earth Day, April 22, IKEA U.S. is throwing a two-day Earth Day Festival on April 23 and 24. At each IKEA location throughout the United States, attendees can partake in a variety of different sustainability-focused activities, workshops, and even food samplings.

In the Brooklyn, New York location, IKEA family members can attend a grab-and-go craft activity where they can paint PS 2002 Watering Cans to keep their houseplants fed and happy. And at the Atlanta, Georgia IKEA, festival attendees can take part in a virtual “Adjust Your Space, Improve Wellbeing” workshop to learn how to decorate spaces to improve mental health.

Other locations are offering DIYs where participants can learn how to make sustainable seed pods out of recyclable materials and make-and-take succulent activities.

The Earth Month festivities are all part of IKEA’s ongoing initiative to make living sustainably a more affordable option for everyday households.

You can check out the IKEA events page to see what activities are being offered during your local IKEA’s Earth Day Festival. Most events require you to sign up ahead of time, so make sure to RSVP online before heading to the store.

IKEA will also be donating up to $25,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund through the end of April to help provide financial assistance to communities in the immediate aftermath of a disaster. IKEA shoppers can also participate in the initiative by adding $1 to their total at checkout.
