That sofa is just so comfortable that we miss it when we travel. The cool thing about it is that it is deeper than a twin bed; it's perfect to use as a guest bed. Adding the wood shelves helped us warm up the space and gave us a ledge for art. The objective was always a minimal but comfortable feel.

Lighting can make or break your home decor, and being intentional about the types of indoor lighting you choose for your apartment can elevate a space more than most luxury decor pieces. But, despite its significance, you don’t actually need to spend a lot of your budget on lighting, and can find quality pieces (and good designer dupes) from IKEA.

If you’re looking for ways to add a touch of cozy to your space this season, TikTok is obsessed with the budget-friendly IKEA FADO table lamp for its warm, moody vibes. This accent takes after the popular globe light trend, featuring a simple, sphere-shaped design and mid-century modern aesthetic. Despite the minimalist silhouette, though, it’s a statement-making piece that brings a soft glow and sculptural style to your space.

Thanks to a slim, easy-to-camouflage cord and 10-inch circumference, the FADO is one of the best lamps for dorm rooms, living rooms, bedrooms, and small spaces overall, since it fits easily on any surface — including a bookshelf, windowsill, or even the floor. You’d never guess that it’s a newly-made IKEA piece, either, because it looks just like a vintage lamp you’d find at an estate sale or secondhand store. It blends well styled with other vintage finds, too.

For just $2 more, you can also buy this lamp with an included LED light bulb, but many TikTokers have instead added IKEA’s $33.99 TRÅDFRI color-changing dimmable kit for extra ambience. User @danisdomain shows this in the video above, using the included remote control to update the light’s hue on a living room shelf.

However you use IKEA’s vintage-inspired FADO lamp, it’s incredibly versatile, functional, and budget-friendly, plus compatible with practically any design setup. Its glass construction makes it super easy to keep clean, too, no matter where you style it (all you need is a feather duster!).
