There are a few iconic IKEA pieces that will likely never go out of style. These fan-favorite furniture collections — the BILLY bookcases, BESTÅ storage systems, and PAX wardrobes, to name a few — are beloved by all, including designers, for their versatility. Nothing beats these iconic designs in terms of practicality and price, and they’re all pretty easily customizable. Even small upgrades, like swapping out the knobs, can upgrade a BILLY bookcase from basic to bespoke.

As much as I love IKEA’s core collections, as a style editor, I’m always on the lookout for any new, more design-forward releases from the brand — so when I saw that they had launched an entirely new furniture collection last week, I was thrilled. Could these new, stylish storage pieces possibly be IKEA’s newest icons? Allow me to introduce the FÅGELFJÄLLET series.

What Is IKEA’s FÅGELFJÄLLET Series?

The new FÅGELFJÄLLET line includes eight all-new bedroom furniture pieces, from dressers to wardrobes, and even a bed. The designs feature “decorative details with a crafted feel,” according to IKEA’s site — and indeed, the brass-effect handles were what first caught my eye! The framed drawer and cabinet fronts and beveled edges make these pieces feel seriously high-end, despite the prices being mid-range for IKEA’s larger items.

Each of the items comes in three finishes: a warm off-white, dark gray-blue, or a super-luxe black oak effect. The new nightstand features ample storage space, a much-needed addition to IKEA’s nightstand offerings. The FÅGELFJÄLLET wardrobe is chic enough (and big enough) for any fashionista, as is the new vertical six-drawer dresser. And I’m absolutely loving this new bed frame: available with or without underbed storage, the FÅGELFJÄLLET bed starts at just $199 for a queen. A shaker-style headboard and footboard frame out the simple silhouette, with the same beveled edges that make the whole collection feel custom-made.

Check out a few of our picks from the collection below. Whether they prove to be IKEA icons or not, these new pieces definitely pack a stylish punch for the price. I’d get one while you can, just in case… the FÅGELFJÄLLET collection is sure to be a fan favorite.
