I don’t have much in common with the Kardashians, but that hasn’t stopped me from watching their shows over the years. I wouldn’t say I’m a fan that lives for the weekly episodes, but every once in a while, I’ll binge a season once it’s available. Whatever you think about the sisters and their rise to fame and becoming bona fide business moguls, the one thing I will say is that they have pretty good taste in interiors — or, at least, their A-list designers, from Martyn Lawrence Bullard to Clements Design, do.

Whenever I’m tuning into the Kardashians’ latest season, I’m less interested in the plot lines and more into the “sets” and their surroundings — their blue chip art, their fancy decorative accessories, their immaculately organized pantries, those fantastic outdoor spaces. So when binging the recent Hulu series recently, imagine my surprise to see none other than fancy pants Poosh founder Kourtney Kardashian herself pouring water into her glass out of the IKEA KORKEN in a scene shot in her kitchen.

This $4 glass bottle with an attached white stopper was just $2 back when I scooped a pair up, first to host a bridal shower at my apartment probably eight years ago. I didn’t want to serve water out of a Brita or buy a bunch of wasteful plastic water bottles. So when on an IKEA run, I spotted the KORKEN, and it ticked all the boxes: simple, chic, inexpensive. It looks nice on any table really and can work with any kind of decor — party or otherwise. The stopper is key, too, especially if you’re entertaining outside. Pouring is easy, and you don’t have to worry about anything yucky getting into your water the way an open pitcher can leave you vulnerable to insects, leaves, or dust. It also looks nice with sliced fruit in it, as shown from the IKEA image above.

Since that wedding shower, one KORKEN has become a staple on my bar cart — ready to be filled with juices, a wine spritzer, or even a batched cocktail. The other I always keep in the fridge for cold water on demand. So if you want a little bit of Bullard and Kardashian-approved glassware on your bar cart, just head to IKEA.
