IKEA Just Dropped a “Magical” New Collection, and It’s a Beautiful Must-Have

Great news for IKEA-lovers! On October 1, IKEA will launch its new SKOGSDUVA children’s collection, and it’s a dream come true for anyone who loves wonder, whimsy, and animals. While it’s aimed at kids, the collection will include plenty of ways for adults to use these pieces in any space. When it launches, SKOGSDUVA will feature 20 educational and inspirational products for children to infuse playfulness into their everyday life and routines. 

In a press release celebrating the launch, Malin Gyllensvaan, who designed the SKOGSDUVA collection, said, “The SKOGSDUVA collection is inspired by my childhood when I created imaginary worlds outdoors where different animals lived. I hope the products evoke children’s desire to explore and learn more about nature — even beyond the front door.”

The SKOGSDUVA collection will include Swedish wildlife-inspired duvet covers, cushions, and soft toys shaped like animals, insects, and plants. 

With these all new products, IKEA hopes to encourage kids to explore nature and let their imaginations run wild, transforming their spaces into “magical environments.” From making bath time a playful adventure with a lynx-hooded towel to paving the way for endless bedtime stories with charming bed covers, IKEA’s SKOGSDUVA collection hopes to bring playfulness into every aspect of life.

The collection will include a duvet cover covered with wild animals that adds both style and versatility to any space, making it perfect for both kids and adults. And it can be layered with other items within the collection too, creating a cozy and nature-inspired bedtime atmosphere. 

IKEA is also using its SKOGSDUVA collection to raise awareness about at-risk animals listed on the Swedish Red List, which highlights threatened species. The goal of the SKOGSDUVA collection is to provide a playful yet educational lens to learn about wildlife. 

The collection is perfect for anyone at any age. These charming designs will encourage creativity for children, while also encouraging adults who appreciate nature to tap back into the magic of their inner child. 

The SKOGSDUVA collection will be available in stores and online this October.
