IKEA wants to make it easier for music lovers to furnish their houses with sound to create an even more positive, inspiring environment at home. So after teaming up with Sonos in 2019 to release the SYMFONISK tabletop lamp speaker, the two companies joined forces yet again to create a floor lamp that puts both sound and style at the forefront.

The result is a gorgeous modern piece of lighting that will blend into so many spaces yet stand out when the time is right to hit play on a playlist.

“We have learned a great deal about how people want to furnish with light and sound,” Stjepan Begic, Range Design Leader at IKEA of Sweden, said in a press release. “We also know that many people want to have several light sources on different levels and parts of the room to create the right mood. The challenge of not having enough room for a table to put the lamp on led us to create the floor lamp.”

The latest SYMFONISK lamp sheds a warm, gentle light thanks to the woven bamboo shade, creating the perfect ambiance for listening to music. It can also be replaced with other shades in the SYMFONISK line, offering some personalization.

And paired with other products from the SYMFONISK line or Sonos products, the floor lamp can also help fill out a home theater setup with both light and room-filling sound. You can also connect your SYMFONISK floor lamp to the IKEA Home smart app to control all your smart devices with a simple touch of a button.

The SYMFONISK floor lamp will be available to purchase at IKEA starting January 2023.
