When IKEA, the brand that renters especially love, first launched its STOCKHOLM collection in 1985, the brand wanted the line to showcase “the best of IKEA” with high-quality materials, craftsmanship, and smart design at its forefront. Forty years later, this criteria is still top of mind for this collection — and on April 10, 96 new shoppable items will join the STOCKHOLM family.

Drawing inspiration from nature and classic aesthetics, the STOCKHOLM 2025 collection is rooted in Scandinavian heritage. Each piece can stand alone or mingle with the group to create a space that feels collected over time, but there’s one in particular I really can’t wait to shop when the whole collection goes on sale.

What Is the IKEA STOCKHOLM 2025 Collection

This collection includes furniture pieces made from solid wood, handwoven rugs, mouthblown glass accents, leather cushions, brass accents, and more. And despite the focus on quality materials and construction, you can still expect affordability from the IKEA collection. These pieces are priced higher than IKEA’s evergreen pieces, but the line is still budget-friendly compared with other home furnishing retailers.

“The purpose of the STOCKHOLM collections has always been to prove that high quality doesn’t need to come at an intimidating cost,” says Karin Gustavsson, creative leader for STOCKHOLM, in a press release.

This latest STOCKHOLM collection, which was developed by designers Gustavsson, Ola Wihlborg, Nike Karlsson, and Paulin Machado, includes several gorgeous pieces for all areas of the home. For example, a modular sofa can be assembled in a variety of different ways. You can also choose from solid wood coffee and side tables, accent chairs, dining sets, textiles, lighting, and kitchen accessories.

But arguably one of the most eye-catching items in the new collection is the storage cabinet with rattan doors designed by Karlsson. Seen on the left in the above image, it’s one of those brilliant items that hides away any mess and clutter behind a stylish front — what a pal!

For less than $450, you’ll get ample storage opportunities while minimizing the amount of space it takes up as the doors slide rather than open. The rattan is a textural detail that gives the piece vintage charm, too. It’s styled in the photo in a living room, but it’d work so well in a bedroom or as a bar cabinet or media console.

The IKEA STOCKHOLM 2025 collection will be available to shop both in IKEA stores and online starting April 10, and you won’t want to miss this year’s display of “the best of IKEA.”
