If you’ve ever wanted to take a peek inside Ina Garten’s secret garden (try saying that one five times fast!), you’re officially in luck, because the famed cookbook author just took fans on a tour of her backyard garden, and it’s straight out of every green thumb’s wildest dreams.

Garten recently shared her garden tour on Instagram, inviting followers along as she walked through the space at her East Hampton, New York home, which she shares with her husband of 52 years, Jeffrey. “It’s a beautiful day in East Hampton,” she began. “I thought it would be really fun to take a tour of the garden. Come with me!”

Starting off in her “shade garden,” the “Barefoot Contessa” star walked through and showed off a fern-lined path, mentioning the crepe myrtle trees that “give a little structure” to the space. She then steps into a “little walled garden” — the aforementioned secret garden — to show off an oasis of fresh herbs, vegetables, and greenery galore.

“This is where I grow tomatoes and herbs,” she explained, pointing out the tomato stakes, with plenty of lavender nearby (she loves the smell of it), along with all the “fresh herbs that I use in cooking.” She showed off gorgeous white roses growing along the wall and “a big fig tree” with figs starting to grow. “I use the leaves for platters,” she shared, “and the figs are just delicious.”

“Lots of sage and chives and thyme and tarragon,” Garten noted. She also pointed out “lots of tomatoes” growing on the vine, “just starting to get ripe — those are going to be delicious, lots of tomato salads.”

If you aren’t working with a Food Network-level budget for your own home garden, fear not. Garten shared some budget-friendly tips to enjoy fresh herbs at home. “Even if you don’t have room for a garden, you can always put pots of herbs on the window sill like basil and tarragon and have delicious herbs for your cooking.”

“I hope you enjoyed the garden tour. Have fun,” she concluded, bidding viewers farewell. “And now the sun’s out!” For the record, it’s fully okay if you’re swooning over her lush setup — even Garten’s famous friends like Katie Couric, Nancy Meyers, and Julianna Margulies chiming in to the comments section of the post to express their admiration. Couric summed it up best, writing, “OBSESSED.”
