Our house is a Sears kit home called The Fairy in the old Sears “Modern Homes” catalog. It started out as a two bedroom, however we made the living room into a large dining room, and made the bedroom in the front a small sitting room.

We are located in Evanston, IL the first suburb north of Chicago. It is less than 600 Sq. feet, which is perfect for my husband and myself. Our style is eclectic, a mix of old and new, from Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel, Restoration Hardware and antique stores. We are very proud to have been a “tiny home” owner for over 11 years, before it became a trend. We moved from a huge vintage 3 bedroom apartment, and my husband wasn’t sure how it was going to work. However, once I found I could vacuum the entire house using only one outlet I was hooked!
