Bestselling novelist Janet Evanovich and her husband are selling their home in Naples, Florida, on the Gulf coast. It features a gorgeous waterfront view and the office of our dreams. Picture floor-to-ceiling built-in bookshelves and a window looking out on the water. We’ve grown content with our IKEA shelves and view of a strip mall, but we wouldn’t say no to this kind of luxurious workspace.

Evanovich has written more than fifty novels over the past thirty-plus years, including the ongoing Stephanie Plum series, which follows the adventures of a lingerie buyer-turned-bounty hunter. The last 17 of the series’ 26 books debuted at the top of the New York Times’ bestseller list, according to Realtor.com.

Here’s how the real estate site describes the Evanovich home: “The interior is a picture of modern elegance, with beautiful dark wood floors complementing neutral walls and crown molding details. Artistic chandeliers illuminate the dining room and the entryway of the home.”

Highlights besides the sunny home office include a wine cellar, a wet bar, a movie theater, and a gym—everything you need to stay at home until you finish your novel. The outside of the house is just as luxurious:

“To fully cash in on Florida’s sunny days, this waterfront property pulls out all the stops when it comes to outdoor living. A covered, second-floor balcony is the perfect place for a good read and a glass of wine, and the backyard includes a deep blue pool and fire pit.”

Evanovich and her husband have listed the 11,054-square-foot Naples, Florida house for $17 million. That’s just 17 seven-figure book deals away.
