Jennifer Garner is proving (yet again!) that she’s a true jack of all trades. She acts, she cooks, she’s an activist, and now, she’s a semi-pro woodturner.

Garner posted a video to her Instagram showing the process she went through to turn a wooden bowl for her friend Reese Witherspoon in preparation for her new role in the movie adaptation of the novel “The Last Thing He Told Me” by Laura Dave, and one has to ask, is there anything Jen Garner can’t do?

“When your friend is your boss lady and your next role is a woodturner by trade, your friend gets the very first bowl you make,” Garner captioned the March 22 post. “Happy birthday, dream maker @reesewitherspoon. Dream role #HannahHall in #TheLastThingHeToldMe by dream author @lauradaveauthor (@reesesbookclub @hellosunshine @appletv).”

She added, “Heavy assist on the bowl from very patient teacher, @mason_haus.”

“Why are you so talented??” Witherspoon commented. “I love my bowl!! and I love YOU.”

“The Last Thing He Told Me”, the May 2021 pick for Reese’s Book Club, is a story centered around Hannah Hall and her stepdaughter Bailey, who, despite their differences, come together to find out what happened to their husband and father after he goes missing. The film adaptation will premiere on Apple TV+.

So when you watch Garner’s performance, you can rest assured that she knows exactly what she’s doing when she steps into Hall’s shoes. And, honestly, watching the super-satisfying DIY experience of Garner turning that bowl may just inspire some to take up a brand new hobby.
