On October 14, the brand new season of “Fixer Upper: The Castle” premiered on Magnolia Network, discovery+, and HBO Max, and the castle, located in Waco, Texas, may just be Chip and Joanna Gaines’ biggest project yet. But right off the bat, Joanna Gaines was inspired by the castle’s rich history to curate a line of paint colors to be the base of the entire renovation — and if you are able to pick your favorite hue, you could win $1,000.

“I wanted to honor the history of the castle with rich, unique colors that would complement its grand and traditional aesthetic, while still creating a timeless palette for any style of home,” Gaines said of The Castle Collection, which she launched with KILZ as part of her Magnolia Home line.

The line of classic colors ranges from light neutrals to moody accents. Rosy Pink, for example, “is inspired by my grandmother, Agnes Rose,” Gaines said. “It’s a subtle pink with a vintage style.”

And Drawing Room is named after one of Gaines’ favorite rooms in the castle. “I love the subtle character and charm this gray shade brings to a space,” she said, whereas Cottage Grove, “a rich blend of navy and green,” takes on different tones in various lights, “which makes it both dramatic and cozy all at once.”

There is nothing pretentious about The Castle Collection because the colors are meant to be used in every kind of home — large and grand, or small and cozy.

You can learn more about the collection of 10 colors over on the KILZ website, and while you’re there, you can enter to win $1,000 simply by choosing your favorite shade.
