All the Things Joanna Gaines Wants to Steal from the Magnolia Office
There’s no doubt that Joanna Gaines has a killer eye for design. Each home that she rehabs with husband Chip Gaines is more beautiful than the last. From shiplap wallpaper to flea market finds, if Jo gives something the seal of approval, we’re all over it. So, when she treated her Instagram followers to a tour of her favorite things inside of the Magnolia office, we started taking notes.
Recently, Joanna took her followers on a tour of Magnolia’s Waco, Texas headquarters. She shared snaps of all the things she wishes she could take for her own office and provided unfiltered commentary on some of her co-workers’ personal effects.
“Confession, sometimes after everyone leaves the office, I walk around and consider (just for a second) taking stuff out of other people’s offices and keeping these things for myself,” Gaines wrote in her Instagram Story, People reports. After that, she treated her followers to a tour of all the objects she has her eye on in the Magnolia office.
The items on her office wish list include accent chairs, funky lighting, and plenty of plants. We especially love a framed red note tucked artfully behind an aloe plant that reads, “It ought to be a feat to achieve boredom in a world like this one.” The piece belongs to Billy Jack Brawner, Magnolia’s director of photography.
One of the more unexpected items is a framed photo of a very bearded David Letterman—and Jo shared the surprising story behind it.
“True story,” she wrote. “When Chip and I were dating he asked who my celebrity crush was…I quickly answered and said @letterman. This story justifies taking this picture for sure.”
We’re loving the inside scoop and color commentary, and we’re going to need Jo to make this office tour a regular series on her Instagram Story.
