Name: Julie & Adam
Location: Canmore, Alberta, Canada

We live in a 1200 square foot [including attached garage] three story townhouse in the charming little tourist town of Canmore in the Canadian Rockies. We feel very fortunate to call this pretty little corner of the world home; the outdoors are a huge part of our lifestyle and are so excited to raise our son, Morris, with a love for the mountains.

When we bought this home nearly three years ago it was a great blank canvas with good bones. It’s felt like home since day one, though now after a bit of work in every room […some much more than others…] it’s super cozy and perfectly suited for our needs. I am especially grateful for the bright windows offering wonderful natural light and big mountain views.

Our style is quite a mishmash that has evolved over the years, the home is full of pretty little bits gathered from thrift stores, our travels, gifts, and special family hand-me-downs. Nearly everything throughout our home has a useful purpose, personal story or function in our daily life. Clippings of plants that have been passed down through both our families for years and years, colorful vases that were collected for our wedding, the big long shelf in Morris’ room is constructed from a set of retired vintage jumping skis my dad snatched from his local ski club, beach treasures we’ve gathered while visiting Adam’s hometown on Vancouver Island, several pieces of art and wall hangings from family members [the tapestry above the mantle was a wedding gift to my great grandparents from family members in Sweden shortly after moving to Canada], the table and chairs are the same set that Adam grew up with, a vintage camera collection courtesy of my mother-in-law, the red mid-century rocking chair my mum bought for Morris’ nursery…
