Kaley Cuoco Has a Swing in Her Living Room and It’s So Charming
Kaley Cuoco is saying goodbye to the sprawling Mediterranean estate she bought with ex-husband, Ryan Sweeting. “The Big Bang Theory” star, who is now married to equestrian Karl Cook, just listed her six-bed, eight-and-a-half bath Tarzana estate for $6.9 million.
But if you’re thinking this luxe property looks familiar, you aren’t wrong. Back in 2014, Cuoco purchased it for $5.499 million from another famous former couple: Khloe Kardashian and her then-husband, basketball star Lamar Odom.
Measuring nearly 8,000 square feet, this expansive mediterranean villa (which is more like a compound, if you ask us) is tucked inside the guard-gated Mulholland Park in the sun-drenched San Fernando Valley town of Tarzana. Built in 2003, the property welcomes guests via a private gate that opens up to a large car court with a fountain. Step inside to the dramatic two-story foyer, where a sweeping staircase with iron railings cascades upstairs. According to the listing, the home has been designed to “entice the senses,” which means unique additions like textured wallpaper, tumbled stone, and mosaic accents.
A large, bright kitchen is fit for a professional chef, thanks to top-of-the-line appliances, a large center island, and a cozy breakfast nook. There’s also a gilded formal dining room, and a spacious family room with a beautiful gas fireplace and floor-to-ceiling mosaic. In the living room, a marble fireplace and roomy bar area are ideal for entertaining guests. And of of course, we’d certainly be remiss if we didn’t mentioned that swinging chair.
“After purchasing this place from Khloe and Lamar, Kaley Cuoco has put her own lovely stamp all over it,” says Erik Gunther, realtor.com celebrity real estate expert. “We’re not sure how practical the addition of a swing is to the living room, but we love the idea of rocking and relaxing in the middle of the room.”
The sprawling master suite, which has a fireplace and three custom walk-in closets, is fit for a king and queen. Its master bath is as posh as it gets, complete with dual sinks, a spa tub, and a shower with customizable temperature settings and music capability. Step out the French doors and you’ll find a wrap-around terrace that provides exquisite views of the California sunshine. There’s also an elegant library/office space, as well as a comfortable home theater.
The expansive grounds are straight out of a luxurious Italian resort, complete with a sparkling swimming pool and spa. A spacious outdoor patio and bar area feature a built-in BBQ, ideal for dining and cooking on warm evenings.
