Kate Hudson’s Arched Shower Doors Are Fit For a Castle
Kate Hudson’s bathroom is like something out of a fairytale. Her floral wallpaper, gold and green clawfoot tub, chandeliers, drapes… they’re all reminiscent of an English country cottage where a Disney princess would spend her summers. In fact, some say they can even hear birds chirping and feel a warm breeze any time they look at photos from inside her bathroom.
And we just noticed yet another whimsical detail about Hudson’s bathroom that adds to the fantasticalness of it all. Hudson has arched shower doors and walls, and like, of course she does. The actress and Fabletics founder showed followers yet another angle of her cottagecore bathroom in an April 1 Instagram post she captioned “Spring sunshine.” From here, you can see her bathtub alcove and next to that, her shower area, framed with arched panels of glass.
It’s small details like this that add to the big picture Hudson has crafted in this room. The arched design of her shower doors and walls perfectly mirror the archway of her bathtub area, and these glass panels also let in the flood of natural light (spring sunshine, if you will) from the copious windows Hudson has in her bathroom.
Due to the unique shape, arched, frameless, shower doors and window panels are not something you can just pick up at your local hardware store. If you love this look, you’ll probably have to work with a professional builder and/or bathroom designer to match Hudson’s design.
Although the journey may be longer than that of installing a standard shower setup, the payoff is great. Who wouldn’t want to live in this country castle-like aesthetic every day?
