KitchenAid Just Released a Gorgeous Retro-Inspired Mixer Color for Their 100th Anniversary
Every kitchen needs a KitchenAid mixer. Yes, they are a bit pricey and take up a decent amount of space, but they are so versatile. You can make cakes, cookies, pies, dough, and so much more using your mixer, especially if you get the KitchenAid attachments. Not only can you get a lot done with this mixer, it really stands the test of time. People can have their mixers for decades, as long as they take good care of them.
KitchenAid is celebrating a big anniversary in 2019. The company is about to turn 100! The homeware company was created all the way back in 1919 by The Hobart Corporation, with the intention to produce stand mixers. The very first model introduced by KitchenAid was the “H-5.” KitchenAid mixers have evolved over the years to include many different models, attachments, and a whole assortment of colors and designs. Their iconic K model mixer was introduced in 1937 and most fans of the brand would instantly recognize that model, as our standard KitchenAid mixers of late are very similar.
To preemptively celebrate their 100th anniversary in September, KitchenAid just unveiled their newest mixer and it has a gorgeous retro theme. You’re might just to want to remodel and redesign your entire kitchen to make this mixer the focal point of the whole room. Meet Misty Blue!
Misty Blue is the first product announcement from the brand’s upcoming 100 Year Collection. The color is available for a limited edition Heritage Artisan Series Model K 5-Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer. Consumers can get this mixer with either a white-coated stainless steel bowl or they can up the retro ante and get a hobnail-textured, white ceramic mixing bowl.
Along with the beautiful retro color, the limited edition mixers and products sold in the 100 Year Collection will also sport an old school KitchenAid logo and an anniversary power hub cover. You’ll be able to clearly see the years 1919 and 2019 on the power hub cover.
This limited edition mixer will set you back a pretty penny, which is standard for most limited edition products from any retailer. The white-coated steel bowl model has an MSRP of $519, while the model with the ceramic bowl has an MSRP of $649. The bowl isn’t the only reason the second model cost over $100 more – it will also come with an upgraded Flex Edge Beater attachment. KitchenAid is also selling a Misty Blue range oven and stove for $7,699.
It is important to note, at the time of writing, that the white-coated stainless steel bowl model is available on KitchenAid’s website for $399. You might want to hurry fast!
