Kohl’s Is Selling a Basket Storage End Table That’s Perfect for Small Spaces

I’ve always had a soft spot for home decor items that serve several purposes. I work at an adjustable desk on wheels and also have a storage ottoman that acts as a table, footrest, seat, and throw blanket holder. It’s even better when a multi-talented piece of furniture also has a stylish look to it, and this end table from Kohl’s checks all the boxes. It’s both a table and a storage basket, making it ideal for anyone living in a small space, and its metal and natural wood design has a sleek, minimalist sophistication.

Available at Kohl’s, the Madison Park Hayden Basket-Storage End Table is a tall metal wire basket table with a removable wooden top. There are two small metal handles on the tabletop, so to access the storage basket below, you simply grab and lift. The table is 19.75 inches tall and 16 inches wide, and can hold a maximum of 40 pounds. For reference, my fairly average couch is about 21 inches from arm to floor, so the end table would definitely fit great right next to it. 

The table normally retails for $54.99 at Kohl’s, but it’s currently on sale for $46.74. It comes in three colors: Black, Mediterranean (a darker brown wood), and Natural (a lighter wood). Black and Mediterranean both have black metal baskets and handles, while the Natural option’s accents are white metal.

Between the tall storage basket, the carrying handles, and the removable tabletop, this end table can basically do it all. Plus, the metal wire design lets you see what’s being stored in there, which is great for people like me who sometimes forget an item exists after putting it away. “Perfect size for a blanket holder and side lamp,” one reviewer writes. In the attached photo, you can see they’ve also put a clock and trinket tray on the top, which makes me think this end table could also make a good nightstand. 

As it turns out, many other reviewers also say they use this Kohl’s end table for storing blankets — it’s definitely the basket’s most popular use. “I put a special quilt inside and it’s so pretty!” one writes, which is a clever and cute way to take advantage of the fact that you can see the contents of the basket. Other ways reviewers have used the inner basket include storing baseballs, cat food, and crochet supplies. And even if you don’t put anything at all in the basket, it will still look nice in your living room.
