A $23 Find Creates the Chicest Bathroom We’ve Ever Seen (in Under 5 Minutes!)
Sometimes the simplest upgrades can make your space feel completely fresh and new (no renovation needed!). And a recent viral TikTok video that encourages you to swap out your shower curtain for a lace curtain is the perfect example of this. It’s such a simple switch that will take a boring and basic bathroom to a feminine, frilly, and sweet one.
Plus, it’s a styling trick that relies on an item you can easily find in thrift stores. Talk about a win-win!
A Little Lace Goes a Long Way
“Making the most out of my sweet tiny apartment bathroom,” Lily from @lilycateking on TikTok wrote in the caption of a recent video.
The video is a compilation of snippets from her bathroom, in which she’s added a table with shelves for her towels, a silver tray to house her glass containers of cotton swabs and lotions, fresh flowers, artwork, and a stunning lace shower curtain that steals the entire show.
“Ugh, I need a lace shower curtain now,” one person quipped on her post. Another added, “The perfect cutesy and romantic bathroom.”
You can source lace shower curtains from sites like Pottery Barn, West Elm, and even LoveShackFancy, but we found the exact curtain Lily used from Wayfair. It comes in several different sizes and colors, and features that sweet tassel detail at the top and scalloped hem at the bottom.
But you could just as easily get the same look using lace curtains from the thrift store. As long as you’re pairing the curtain panels with a shower liner, you can use any lace curtain panel you can find.
Make sure to measure your shower opening from the rod to the floor, as well as the length of the rod, before you hit the thrift to ensure the curtain panel you find will fit in the space. You can hook the curtain to your existing shower hooks if the lace pattern is open enough, hang it like a traditional curtain through the opening at the top, or grab a set of curtain clips to make installation a breeze.
A little bit of lace in your bathroom can go a long way. With this simple refresh, your bathroom will feel like an entirely new space.
