Location: Chicago, Illinois

I am the Marketing Events Manager for The Land of Nod based in Chicago. (I plan all the events for our stores around the country, and plan all our bus tours for our #nodtourbus. Dream job!) I purchased my two bedroom/one bath condo seven months ago in the Ravenswood neighborhood in Chicago. Although it had a traditional builder 2007 look, I totally had a vision, and was obsessed with the large window and light when you walked in!

I love how green Ravenswood is in the Spring/Summer! I love mixing all my finds from over the years to make it really me. I previously worked in buying for Crate and Barrel, Holly Hunt, Land of Nod and CB2 so have been able to get some great deals over the years! (Like my Holly Hunt coffee table at an employee sample sale for $700.) My prized procession is my old Crate and Barrel slipper chair that I had reupholstered with a Vintage Hudson Bay Blanket at District Chicago.

I have an obsession with Hudson Bay stripes after living in Vancouver. (My friends call me the Hudson Bay whisperer because I always find them!) I have a lot of great pieces mixed in from flea markets, vintage stores, Salvation Army, outlet stores, employee sales and family heirlooms that really make it a comfy/simple/classic home. The vintage dresser in my room I found at Brown Elephant for $135 and I was beyond excited! The weavings in my home were made by my CEO and Creative Director at Nod.

The chandelier in my living room is also one of my favorites from School House Electric in Portland. The suitcase on the bench in my room is actually my grandfather’s metal suitcase from the war, and has my Grandmothers pic inside. My kitchen stools are school lab stools that I had powder coated white from my friends that own Heritage Bikes in Chicago. Heritage Bikes and Coffee was one of my big inspirations for my home. I loved the feeling when you walked in there shop and the mix of clean black and white mixed with wood.
