Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: My home is me — it’s the place that shows who I am. It’s loud and bold and, on the other hand, clean and organized. There is a lot to see on my walls because I’m working as an artist and illustrator.

Of course this becomes clear throughout my apartment. Illustration and paintings hang everywhere and make me and my cat, Bella, happy in our everyday life.

I think everyone who knows me, knows immediately that this is my apartment. Everything I do is reflected in my apartment, clothes, and art. It’s something very natural, it happens without me having to think much about it. I’ve just always been attracted to a lot of color and I love it loud and colorful.

On the other side, my organization system shows how I tick inside — that I can be very quiet and like it when everything has its place. Also my furniture is a mixture of old and new and makes my home a cozy and exciting place. It’s just a great contrast mixing new and old furniture. In general I would somehow also describe myself as a minimalist maximalist.

Describe your home’s style in 5 words or fewer: Artsy, emotional, colorful, organized, and modern.

What is your favorite room and why? My favorite room is for sure my living room, where I spend most of the time. It’s where all the magic happens: from painting to eating. That’s just where all the emotions live in and where all my illustrations and paintings have their home.

What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? Even if I’m not the biggest IKEA fan, these two lamps.

Any advice for creating a home you love? Give it time. Don’t be shy. Do things if you want to do them and don’t overthink. Colorful walls change everything! And just have fun with it — it’s your place to enjoy. Create your own world and system, which works for you.
