In February 2020, Netflix premiered a dating show unlike any other. It was called “Love is Blind,” and it took the nation by storm with its unusual premise. Couples found matches and began dating each other in isolated “pods” (this was filmed before social distancing was everywhere, by the way), and without ever seeing each other, couples fell in love and committed to marriage. Yeah, it was intense!

The social experiment has now been put into game form, and Love is Blind: The Party Game will absolutely spice up your next summer soiree. And with the “Love is Blind” reunion show, “After the Altar,” premiering on Netflix come July 28, you and your friends can celebrate by partaking in your very own matchmaking experiment inspired by the show.

To play, you and your friends must “date” each other (blindly, of course) by taking turns asking and answering multiple-choice questions from “Pod Cards.” Players who match answers to the person drawing the Pod Card will score a “Heart” with them. Whoever shares the most hearts will become a couple, and once matched, the couple must compete against other couples to earn Hearts as a pair.

Once you have three Hearts as a newly-formed love match, you can propose and continue to build your relationship until you have nine Hearts. Only then can you officially tie the knot and win the game. And just like the couples in the show found out, your perfect match may just be the last person you’d expect. It may be a while before we get a second season of “Love is Blind”, but in the interim you can challenge your friends to open their hearts and close their eyes.
