I’ve unashamedly been a longstanding Madewell devotee — their pieces run on the pricier side, but I know that every dress or bag I buy from the brand will, in fact, be made well. TBH, some of my favorite, most-worn wardrobe staples have hailed from the contemporary clothing line. But, I recently discovered there’s actually way more to love on their site than just apparel and accessories. In fact, there’s a whole marketplace dedicated to brands that Madewell loves.

For those unaware, if you head to the Madewell homepage (that I may or may not have bookmarked…), there’s a category at the top dubbed Labels We Love. Here, they’ve spotlighted an extensive list of designers and businesses across the globe — from well-known names to small local shops — in the clothing, beauty, and lifestyle realms. You’ll even find a subcategory full of home-specific selections, all of which feel especially cool and well-curated. (It is Madewell, after all.) The prices also read fairly reasonable, comparatively, making this corner of the site a huge hidden gem for unique holiday gifts or treat-yourself treasures.

To that note, whomever you’re shopping for, I took the liberty of pulling a handful of standouts, all under $50. There’s a little bit of everything, from games and puzzles to pretty home decor. And even if you don’t share my unwavering Madewell infatuation, I’d highly recommend taking your own deep dive on the Labels We Love page — everything’s pretty much perfect for anyone on your gift list, most notably the impossible-to-shop-for types. (Just note that, since some products ship directly from the vendors, they may not arrive by Christmas Eve because of additional processing time!)

The chess (or “Queen’s Gambit”) enthusiast can benefit big-time from this ultra-stylish portable set. The colorful gift comes from Swedish brand Printworks, known for putting beautiful spins on everyday items. Here, the proof’s in the fun wooden pieces and acrylic board, which are ideal for an on-the-go game or coffee table accent.

I’m a firm believer that you can never go wrong with a candle present, and this one looks (and smells) particularly next-level. It’s made from soy wax, dried flowers, and essential oils via Brooklyn-based designer Yui Kobayashi, a member of Madewell’s 2021 Hometown Heroes Collective. The bubble cube shape makes it (almost) too chic to light, but worry not — it still gives off a lovely grapefruit scent, no lighter needed. You can't beat the $15 price, too.

Or, let them have a go at making their own candle. It’s way easier than it seems, thanks to this all-inclusive kit from New York-based company Reisfields NYC™. The finished product boasts notes of sandalwood and cardamom husk paired with amber, vanilla, and more, all contained in a minimalist reusable glass jar.

Another bona fide holiday crowd-pleaser? Food ornaments — and few do it better than famed festive decor brand Cody Foster & Co. Add some whimsy to anyone’s tree (including your own, hint hint) with this glorious ode to everything bagels.

For the plant and puzzle lover, this 1,000-piece (yes, really) gift is the best of both worlds. They’re guaranteed hours of entertainment, plus a (very cute) expansion of their botany vocab.

This quirky, grown-up coloring book does double duty: It gives the outdoor-obsessed an artistic outlet and supports the Parks Project, an org dedicated to preserving our parklands. Each illustration coincides with a different National Park, all listed in alphabetical order.

Consider this the MVP of candle gifts because it’s basically beautifully wrapped on arrival. Not only that, but it’s infused with essential oils for a relaxing blend of jasmine, lily, and orange oil notes. The purple-hued present is also the creation of Esselle, a San Fran-based, all-female small business that specializes in “artful pieces for the modern woman.”
