If you’ve been patiently waiting for new episodes of “Fixer Upper” to come back to your cable box, great news. Chip and Joanna Gaines announced today exactly when you can expect to see Magnolia Network pop up in your channel lineup.

The duo revealed that the takeover of DIY Network will happen on Jan. 5, 2022, when Magnolia Network content will start rolling out on TV screens nationwide. This “linear release,” as it’s called in the industry, comes after what a press release calls a “successful digital launch” back in July.

Current cable subscribers who have DIY Network as part of their package will start to see Magnolia Network shows on Jan. 5, including Magnolia’s original programming like “The Lost Kitchen”, “Family Dinner”, “Magnolia Table with Joanna Gaines”, and of course, “Fixer Upper: Welcome Home“. The network will also run previous seasons of “Fixer Upper”, as well as “This Old House” and DIY Network favorites like “Maine Cabin Masters”, “Barnwood Builders”, “Restoring Galveston”, and “Bargain Mansions”.

“It wasn’t long ago that watching TV meant time together as a family. It was a place where people of all ages could gather and be informed, entertained, and inspired by the kind of honest, authentic programming that brings people closer,” said Chip and Joanna Gaines in a press release. “That’s what we’ve set out to build with Magnolia Network, and we’ve been amazed by the stories and storytellers we’ve found, people whose lives are living proof that our world is full of beauty, hope, courage, and curiosity. We can’t wait to see these stories brought to life on cable this January, and we’re hopeful about the impact it might have — to help reclaim the best of what television can be.”
