We live currently in a small apartment in Mauritius, after a year in living in Martijn’s home country, Netherlands. The apartment was first just a “big” room with its own bathroom, but we decided to move in and make it a cozy apartment and save money till we are done building our next home.

The size of the apartment was challenging, specially after we adopted Auggie our dog. We created a kitchen corner, build a mezzanine for our bed, build a custom bar and squeeze in a dressing/bathroom.

We think its a cute place to live, we love the big windows and all the light that shines through during the day. We also enjoy people’s reaction when they come to our place. They say its different and feels so welcoming even though it is rather small.
