Matthew Perry’s LA Penthouse Just Hit the Market for $35 Million
Matthew Perry’s 9,290-square-foot penthouse just hit the market, and we’re guessing the former “Friends” star’s pad will be snapped up before you can say “Ms. Chanandler Bong.”
The four-bed, eight-bath home, which is listed with Compass’ Greg Holcomb and Cassandra Petersen at a whopping $35 million, is known as Penthouse 40, cascading 40 stories above Los Angeles in the exclusive Century building in Century City. Featuring a custom interior where every detail has been thoughtfully considered, the massive property blends contemporary and classic textures and colors to create a luxurious oasis right in the middle of LA. In the living room, light streams in through the wall of oversized windows that highlight the stunning views of Los Angeles.
A large chef’s kitchen has bar seating for four, as well as space for a separate dining area. But the master suite feels like a private resort in itself, thanks to its massive size, and sprawling windows that provide views of the entire city from the moment you wake up. It also has plenty of seating space, as well as a fireplace, dual baths, and large closets with plenty of storage. Let’s just say you could multiply Chandler Bing and Joe Tribbiani’s apartment times ten, and it would still fit in there.
The entire property has four huge terraces, providing exquisite 360-degree views that stem from the downtown Los Angeles skyline to the Pacific Ocean, and plenty of outdoor space, perfect for sipping your morning coffee in the Los Angeles sunshine. (Who needs Central Perk when you have a condo this sick?) There’s also a spacious screening room filled with plush, comfortable seating that rivals any movie theater.
The Century building, which is tucked behind gates, has extensive amenities for its residents, ranging from an oversized swimming pool with cabanas, a top-of-the-line gym and fitness studio, movie theater, and private wine storage. There doesn’t seem to be dual barcaloungers when you can sit and watch “Baywatch,” but we won’t hold that against Perry.
Matthew bought the home back in 2017 for $20 million, so if he manages to sell at his asking price of $35 million, he’ll make quite a nice profit. But seeing as he and his “Friends” castmates used to rack in $1 million per episode, we’re guessing he’s not exactly sitting at home counting pennies.
