Describe your home’s style in 5 words or less: Modern, scandi, a little boho

Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: The home is a 1993 tall skinny home, with great windows, a small lot, and a downtown river valley location, but was very ugly for this minimalist! I share my home with a big black dog and black cat.

What is your favorite room and why? Top floor/loft. It’s cozy yet open with great views of city or treetops in summer.

What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? The Iron Elements custom made coffee table! Because after years of searching, it was decided that a simple, modern, decently-priced coffee table (in close to the correct dimensions) does not exist in Canada!

Any advice for creating a home you love? Shop at Homesense a lot! Buy things when you love them, not when you need them. Keep a simple backdrop (paint, floors, backsplash) and don’t overdo it on design.
