Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: I am a Haitian American fashion designer, so aesthetics, style, and ambiance are really important to me. My home is very cozy, clean, and elevated and I love how everything works well together. I have created a lot of the artwork hung in my home and I love that my guests can see a piece of my artistic side when they visit.
I identify as a creative and unique individual. Although my home is mainly neutral (black, gray, and beige), I have a lot of texture and unique pieces that tie back to my personality. Especially because I work in fashion, different fabrications and textures are very important to me.
Describe your home’s style in 5 words or fewer: Modern, clean, minimal, neutral, elevated.
What is your favorite room and why? My living room. I just love how cozy and comfy it is. I have the opportunity to display decorations and hang out with guests, and that space in my home really makes me feel at peace.
What’s the last thing you bought (or found!) for your home? Console table from Amazon.
Any advice for creating a home you love? Make it your own. Your home should be a place that you love! Add pieces to your home that reflect your personality. Try to stick with neutrals when it comes to larger furniture — that way, if you want to switch things up you can spend less money on smaller decor items instead of large expensive furniture.
