Every spring, the shelves of our favorite home decor stores seem to actually bloom with floral-print everything. Per Miranda Priestly, florals for spring aren’t particularly groundbreaking, but this year, I’m spotting an adorable new motif that actually does feel as fresh as a crisp spring breeze. As the weather finally starts to warm up, give your home a seasonal spark of joy this spring with … a goose!

The “Mother Goose” motif is a familiar favorite for nurseries and baby showers, but with the continued popularity of decor trends like cottagecore, “grandma-chic,” and all things whimsical — and with “porch geese” going viral on TikTok — goose-themed decor is popping up across spring l collections everywhere. The trend is also a fantastic alternative to traditional bunny-themed Easter decor, offering something that feels a little more fresh.

And don’t be afraid to deck out your goose. Though some people go all out with full outfits for their porch geese, I’d start with a simple bow. The iconic birds’ long necks were practically made for ribbons! If your goose decor of choice doesn’t come already flaunting its finery, you can also source your own ribbon (Michaels has some great picks) and simply tie it around the neck of a goose statue, figurine, or plushie.
