A dining room with a wooden table and tan chairs

Name: Tyler Stephenson and partner, Sam
Location: Boulder, Colorado
Type of home: Condo
Size: 1200 square feet
Years lived in: 6 months, renting

Tell us a little (or a lot) about your home and the people who live there: When we left New York City to start a new chapter in Boulder, I was inspired by the mountains around us and wanted to incorporate the outdoors into our home. We are passionate about nature and traveling, so you can find touches of that throughout in the form of plants, pictures from our trips, wood tones, and warm colors.

Describe your home’s style in 5 words or fewer: Warm, organic, inspired by nature.

What is your favorite room and why? My favorite room is our living room. It’s filled with our favorite pictures, thrift store finds, and plants. Not to mention, you can look out and see the mountains in the distance.

Any advice for creating a home you love? Your home is a reflection of what brings you joy. It doesn’t matter what is “trendy” or “in,” as long as you fill it with objects you love and cherish, it can be whatever you want it to be.
