Attention, Muggles! You Can Spend the Holidays at Hagrid’s Hut for Just $1
Of all the buildings in the wizarding world of Harry Potter, Hagrid’s Hut is lowkey our favorite. It’s the kind of place you go when you need to get away from it all, fill up on snacks, and pet a chill dog. It’s a place where everybody knows your name. If you’ve ever wished you could visit IRL, this is your chance to do it for the very low price of $1.
North Shire’s Ground Keepers Cottage is a magical replica of Hagrid’s Hut. And right now, it’s hosting a competition to let one lucky group of friends (up to six people, maximum four adults) stay there for an entire week—for just $1. (Well, £1, so about $1.25.) All you have to do is enter the competition here by buying a ticket. Each ticket costs £1, and you can enter as many times as you want.
The lucky winner will receive a seven-night stay at North Shire’s Ground Keepers Cottage from December 22 to 29, 2019. But a weeklong stay at Hagrid’s Hut is just the beginning. The winner will also get to partake in a host of magical events, including a meet and greet with a snowy owl; afternoon tea with a Harry Potter impersonator, who will perform magic; and a ride on a steam train through the North York Moors National Park countryside, where the Hogwarts Express scenes were filmed for the “Harry Potter” movies. To top it all off, Santa will visit and drop off a bag full of presents.
If you don’t win first prize, you still have two more chances of winning. The second-place winner will receive a three-night stay at the Ground Keepers Cottage and the third-place winner will receive a two-night stay at the Shire House, a neighboring home that’s equally as magical.
A week at the Ground Keepers Cottage sounds like a truly magical holiday experience. Enter here for your chance to win by October 31.
