This Cozy Ontario Apartment Is the Home of Two Cats and Lots of Plants
Sanjana Ahid, her husband, and their cat babies have lived in this apartment they own for six years: I always wanted to bring the outdoors inside. We spent a huge chunk of the year seeing snow and gloomy weather. Therefore, I wanted to create a space which will always give me joy and a sense of liveliness. The plants all over my home gives a tropical vibe. They make me feel alive. Taking care of them feels therapeutic to me. I live with my husband and two cat babies. Our first cat baby passed away two years ago. He was the best baby I could’ve ever asked for. When we first moved to our home, I remember he helped me put all the pieces of furniture in place. He took over the inspection duty. I feel connected to him when I walk around our home.
My husband is a very minimal person. He works from home. We use our second bedroom for his home office. He has a small desk there, but he loves to work from the bed. We made our home with a lot of love and care. It does feel like a home to us.
My style keeps on changing. Nothing is too precious here, but everything was selected intentionally. Living with two cats is challenging, but I try to pick furniture that can deal with stretching. My personal style is earthy and boho.
