Pantone and Puerto Rico want to bring a little sunshine into the winter doldrums. Discover Puerto Rico teamed up with the Pantone Color Institute to create a brand new, limited-edition color that radiates positive vibes and warm sunshine.

“We’re thrilled to announce that our Island has its very own Pantone color!” the official Discover Puerto Rico Instagram account announced. “Brighten your world with the perfect shade of Puerto Rico Sunshine.”

Puerto Rico Sunshine is a red-orange hue that captures the warmth of the Puerto Rican sunset. Discover Puerto Rico enlisted the help of Puerto Rican physicist and Professor at the University of Puerto Rico, Héctor J. Jiménez, PhD, “who identified the color of the sunbeams at different moments throughout the day across our Island,” Discover Puerto Rico wrote.

You can pick up a can of Puerto Rico Sunshine thanks to Discover Puerto Rico’s partnership with South Carolina-based ECOS Paints, which produces non-toxic and eco-friendly paint formulas.

But if painting an accent wall Puerto Rico Sunshine isn’t enough, then you can also enter the Sunshine to Spare sweepstakes. One lucky entrant will win an all-expenses-paid trip for two to Puerto Rico where they’ll stay at the Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve and fly roundtrip with JetBlue. The sweepstakes will be open to enter from Jan. 25 through Feb. 8,.

And in the meantime, grab a can of the sunny hue to warm up your mid-winter blues.
