“It was important to us that we create open spaces,” Aleksandra writes of their home in Germany’s Flensburg town. “The total area is not that big, but we still wanted to have a small gallery. Opportunities to retreat in the garden were also important to us.” 

“I like comfortable, colorful, and casual clothes. Preferably colorful dresses,” Aleksandra specifies. “Too serious clothes don’t suit me. The style is also carried over to my home. It’s also colorful, informal, and cozy. I like colorful cushions and blankets — anything that puts you in a good mood.”

Aleksandra and her twin sister, Dominika, run Twinflair, where they offer event and interior styling services as well as sell colorful home goods like pillows, prints, cups, and more.

And when it comes to sharing advice on how to create a colorful home, Aleksandra says just to try. “Paint or wallpaper your favorite colors on smaller areas and let them work for a few days. Start slowly and gradually add color.”
