On average, cats and dogs sleep between 12 to 16 hours a day. If you think they need to be more productive — especially in helping with the finances — then here’s the perfect job for them.

PetSmart is in search of one dog and one cat to become their Chief Toy Testers, roles that will pay $10,000 to each pet. According to the company, the ideal candidates should have “vast experience in play, a knack for toy testing, and an advance palate for sampling an array of culinary treats.”

In their one-year tenure as Chief Toy Testers, the pets will carry out tasks such as participating in PetSmart product unboxings, appearing at events as the company’s VIPs (Very Important Pet), and with the help of their fur parents, present their product reviews on social media.

In addition to receiving a $10,000 salary, the cat and dog will also be able to keep the toys and treats they’ll be testing, receive quarterly salon treatments (or “spaw days”), and be granted tail-wagging rights as PetSmart’s first Chief Toy Testers.

“The new Chief Toy Tester roles will help us better connect with and serve our four-legged (or less!) cat and dog customers in exciting ways,” said Will Smith, senior vice president and chief marketing officer at PetSmart. “These pets will let pet parents know they are getting the best tried-and-true products for their beloved furry family members.”

To apply, fur parents should fill out the application form at AnythingForPets.com on or before February 17. They also need to submit a pet photo, a review of their pet’s favorite toy, and a 10-30 second video showcasing their furry pal’s personality.
