Traditionally, Halloween is all about orange and black, but it need not be. In fact, spooky season has gotten a softer makeover, according to Pinterest.

The platform has released its 2019 Halloween Report on what’s trending this year, from costumes and makeup to decor and food. There are lots of great insights, but what caught our eye was that searches for “pink Halloween” are up 221%. As dedicated fans of the blush hue, we’re all for this trend (it’s even a 2020 color of the year). Here are some examples from Pinterest of how to pink-ify your place this Halloween.

A Kailo Chic Life goes for a foolproof combo of pink, black, and white, including a charming balloon arch and a pink jack-o-lantern planter.

Add a tropical twist with some flamingo skeletons, black monstera leaves, and pink painted pumpkins.

Summer Adams creates a tablescape with skull plates and pretty velvet pumpkins.

Pumpkins can even masquerade as pink sprinkled donuts.

Pinterest also notes that “pastel Halloween” searches are up 164%, like this ombre skull tree.

Or this sweet but creepy (sweepy?) tablescape from Amidst the Chaos.

Channel those ’90s vibes with A Kailo Chic Life’s painted pumpkin tutorial.

If you prefer to keep the seasonal decor to a minimum, try out this blooming skull from Thrifty and Chic.

Other major trends for 2019 include:  Stranger Things halloween decorations, up 549%; boho Halloween decor (+68%); throwing a party in your garage (Halloween garage decorations +71%); Halloween gnomes (+385%); Halloween cemetery (+95%); and Halloween blankets (+89%).
