Cozy real home decoration, burning candles on golden tray with pillow on white faux fur on windowsill

There are a lot of candles out there that smell like some of your favorite plants — think lavender, pine, honeysuckle, and vanilla bean. But Horti’s new “plandles” are directly inspired by bringing the outdoors in, so much so that each plandle comes in the same terracotta pots Horti sells their houseplants in.

Earlier this year, Horti, the plant subscription and insurance service, launched a brand new line of plant-inspired candles that will fit in perfectly among any plant parent’s plethora of potted pets (say that five times fast).

“Our new plant inspired candles — plandles — resulted from a year of researching the most luxurious blends of essential oils derived from nature,” the Horti website reads. “We collaborated with Davisburg Candle Factory, located in a historic building in Detroit, who have six decades of experience hand-making candles.”

As of right now, there are three plandles available on the website: Sacred Woods (a mix of sandalwood, Peruvian Paolo Santo, and Egyptian cedarwood), Forest Alchemy (oud and tonka), and Desert Wisdom (cactus flower, eucalyptus, and mint). You can try all three thanks to the combo set.

Or, pair your plandle of choice with a beautiful potted plant with the Nice Smelling Kit ($60) that comes with either Sacred Woods and a Pilea or Forest Alchemy and a Palm.

Horti’s plandles are made with 100 percent soy wax, lead-free cotton wicks, and phthalate-free fragrance oil, and when you’ve burned through your plandle, you can use the terracotta planter to grow an offshoot of your favorite houseplant.

For the plant-lover who has every kind of plant, the plandle is the perfect gift they can add to their collection.
