Red front door with number 1021, white wicker chair, and potted plants on a porch.

Looking for a way to add curb appeal to your front porch that feels fresh and fun? Say hello to vintage (or vintage-style) plant stands, which are a designer backyard favorite moving to the front of the home. “I love the use of a plant stand because it doesn’t just fill out my porch, I think of it as a styling opportunity as well,” says designer Jennifer Hunter. “Using a plant stand elevates your plants — both literally and visually — and makes the whole arrangement feel like a vignette. A stand creates height, dimension, and hierarchy!”

While it’s always fun to visit the antique store in search of the perfect secondhand garden piece, you can find some pretty good vintage-looking plant stands on the market right now that look aged to perfection. Even better? They’re available in just a click. I found a few that have the same vibe as Hunter’s above. All you have to do is order one, and then pile on the plants for instant charm. Just keep in mind that even if these pieces are covered, they will be exposed to the elements. But that’ll make them look even more charming!

Santa Fe 3-Tier Plant Shelf
$71

Available in four different finishes, this antique-looking three-shelf plant stand is weather-resistant and petite enough to fit on even the smallest of front porches (it’s just over 22 inches wide!). If space allows, you could order two of these and flank your front door. But this piece will look just fine solo, too.
