Bet you didn’t know September is National Potato Month. And now that you know National Potato Month is a thing, you can celebrate in spud-tacular style if you win “The Great Spud Getaway” hosted by McAlister’s Deli.

Winners of the “The Great Spud Getaway” will not only receive a year’s supply of free giant spuds from McAlister’s Deli (incredible), but they’ll also win an all-expenses-paid trip for themselves and one guest to America’s potato capital (Boise, Idaho) where they’ll stay for four days and three nights at the Big Idaho Potato Hotel.

And yes, the Big Idaho Potato Hotel is a gorgeous modern hotel room inside a massive potato.

But that’s not all the winner gets. They’ll also be equipped with a laundry list of potato-themed activities to do during their trip, such as taking a ride in the 72-foot-long Big Idaho Potato Truck that carries a four-ton potato.

Here’s what you have to do to enter: First, you must be 18 years of age or older to enter in the contest, which opens on September 1 at 10 a.m. ET and runs through September 14 at 11:50 p.m. ET. 

Next, head over to the McAlister’s Deli website and order your customized spud. Then, when it arrives, post or tweet a photo of spud creation you made using the hashtag #spudbudsweeps and tag @McAlistersDeli on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. Then dig in, enjoy your spud, and wait for the winner to be randomly selected (you’ll be notified via email, DM, or social media comment).

The Great Spud Getaway will take place between October 14 and October 17, so clear your schedule now just in case you win. It’s going to be one heck of a vacation.
