From designer Jessica:

The client wanted to revamp three rooms in her home, but there were certain things she wanted to keep and not change. The living room received the largest change-up.

I added a seating/game area in a cozy corner and updated most of the pieces, only keeping just a few key antiques and reupholstering an existing chair. We kept the palette subdued and neutral in creams and grays, with a few blue-greens to tie into the dining room.

The focal point is a gallery wall that includes new pieces with references to the owner’s equestrian and coastal interests, as well as personal artwork from her children and family.

The flow works better with the new table shape, and the whole room feels updated and fresh with the new wood finishes and a large floor mirror that bounces light around.

In the client’s daughter’s room I needed to utilize the small space given for storage, lounging, studying and bedtime. We created a wall of built-ins that incorporated everything in one place — bench, closet, desk, display.

We kept the palette fresh with poppy colors in fun but not overly juvenile patterns.
