Vacation Like the Royal Family at This Jamaican Villa for Sale
Sure, the royal family may not be the sort you imagine letting their hair down and frolicking around a Jamaican resort. But if any spot could get the Queen Mother (also Queen Elizabeth, the current monarch’s mother) to relax and live their best life, we understand why it’s this one. The Little Hill Villa at The Tryall Club in Montego Bay, Jamaica, where she has luxuriated in Caribbean splendor, is officially on the market for $6.5 million.
The four-bedroom villa is steeped in history—and luxury. Built in 1959 in the classic West Indies style by famed architect Robert Hartley, the Little Hill Villa is set on 22,000 acres dotted with unique properties. Perched atop a hill, the residence provides extreme privacy and stunning, 360-degree views of the ocean, golf course, and lush, tropical forest.
Guests are welcomed through double mahogany doors to a two-level entrance hall, where an 18-century cut stone floor and stone staircase lead up to the main areas. A cathedral ceilinged living room features fresh blue and white colors, and leads to the bar and card room. There is also a powder room, flower room and music center in this area.
A heated, 30-foot diameter swimming pool is the perfect spot to take a dip after a day on the picturesque, private shoreline, and an indoor/outdoor dining area is the perfect gathering space for meals. The home features several private balconies and a 100-foot terrace, with seating for twenty-four.
Not only is it furnished with the finest linens and china, but Little Hill comes complete with a private staff of seven that includes a personal chef, private butler, laundress, housekeeper and three gardeners. There’s also complimentary golf cart rides to neighboring courses, tennis courts, a fitness and massage center, game room, and Kid’s Club.
Of course, if you can’t drop the $6.5 million to purchase the stunning escape, you can always go for a weekly rental- at the price of $9,095 per week.
