“I knew this house was the winner when I saw the wall of windows in the living room and floor-to-ceiling bright white paint,” Kalianna says. “Probably shocking to hear from a color-lover such as myself, but having a canvas that was bright and ready for any projects was invaluable to me.” 

Since moving in a year ago, she’s painted several colorful murals and filled her home with vibrant furnishings. One of the joys about Kalianna is that she fills her life with color and admits that her “life looks more like a rainbow every day.” She believes her mini pig, Pumba; dog, Henry; and cat, Louis, all feel happier with the color abundance, too. 

The primary closet is arguably one of the most colorful rooms in Kalianna’s home. She spends a lot of time filming social content or styling outfits, which usually feature a pair of gogo boots from her expansive collection (she recently created a pair for MCLC). 

“It is the perfect inspiration for all of my colorful outfit videos on my socials,” Kalianna explains. “Nothing brings me more joy than getting to create in this house. My pets have even been thriving since moving here.”

Kalianna found this rental house on Facebook Marketplace on New Year’s Eve, and usually she says she wouldn’t consider a listing from there, but this home was too good to pass up. The backyard is big enough for her dog and pig to run around, and the blank walls have been filled with color and DIY projects. Before moving in, she described the space as “bland,” but now she says it’s “joyful.”
