Reebok and Eames Just Collaborated on a Pair of Sneakers
If you’re a mid-century modern lover, then a classic Eames chair has probably been on your wishlist since the beginning of time. The lounge chair and ottoman have been a staple at the Herman Miller company since they were first created by husband-and-wife duo Charles and Ray Eames back in 1956 — and have a price tag to match their iconic status.
But now you can grab something a bit lower in price from the Eames brand. Eames teamed up with Reebok to release a new sneaker so you can wear your love of all-things Eames with pride (and style).
The new Reebok x Eames Office Club C sneaker is actually the second release from Reebok and Eames. This time around, the Club C sneakers are available in two designs inspired by Ray Eames’ artwork.
The Composition print sneaker features a composition painting Ray did in 1939, and the Dot sneaker is printed by the dot pattern Ray created in 1947.
“Reebok x Eames Office Club C sneaker carries on the tradition of timeless, classic design that adapts effortlessly into everyday life. Fresh and functional,” the description of the sneakers on the Eames Office website reads.
So although it may be a while before you can get your hands on the iconic Eames chair, you can dip into a small fraction of your Eames savings and walk around repping the art of one of the creative brains behind the piece of furniture.
These sneakers are a very cool (and stylish) second choice!
