Reese Witherspoon’s Frosted Christmas Tree Has a Classic Color Scheme, and It’s Anything But Boring
Reese Witherspoon is all set up and ready to begin celebrating Christmas. The actress posted a photo to her Instagram on November 30 showing off her glittering Christmas tree and asked her followers, “Too soon?”
When your Christmas tree looks this good, it’s never too early to start decorating.
This year, Witherspoon decided to go with a white tree decorated with ornaments in a classic red-and-silver color scheme. Even the red-and-white plaid tree skirt matches the tree perfectly. And on top, rather than a star or an angel, Witherspoon chose a large red velvet bow as her tree topper.
If you’re an avid Christmas ornament collector, then you probably have all the ornaments you need to recreate this red-and-silver look. But if you want to take a bit of direct inspiration from Witherspoon, then check out these Christmas bulb-shaped ornaments that look similar to the red ones Witherspoon has on this year’s tree.
And if you think Witherspoon’s tree doesn’t look as faux as other white Christmas trees you’ve seen in stores, it’s most likely because the tree isn’t exactly stark white. It looks more like the Champagne artificial tree from CB2. Rather than pure white boughs, the CB2 version has soft light gold needles that give a snow-dusted appearance without screaming “fake tree.”
The CB2 Champagne tree also comes in a 4-foot version for smaller spaces.
Now that it’s December, it’s definitely not too early to put up your Christmas tree. Take a page out of Witherspoon’s book and try a color scheme if you haven’t yet. It may just open your world up to more Christmas magic than you ever thought possible.
