It’s not every day you see an entertainment center that stops you in your tracks, but scrolling through the listing photos of this stunner of a home for sale in Houston, Texas, that’s exactly what happened. The living room is bright white and filled with sunlight, thanks to French doors and a wall of windows. And in the middle of it, a pair of ceiling-height arched double doors parts to reveal a bespoke cabinet, complete with drawers and decorative fruit-and-floral patterned wallpaper serving as the backdrop to the mounted television.

The exquisite woodwork flows throughout the home, including into the galley kitchen, where black walnut cabinetry stands out among the white-and-black marble counters and backsplash. Though the home was built in 1930, a modern renovation paid careful attention to preserve the past, using vintage windows and antique hardware, while also bringing in present flair via details like recessed lighting and fresh paint.

Equally as impressive as the home’s millwork is its masonry, which you can see in the study — an all black room that creates a meditative and moody atmosphere — where a wood-burning fireplace bookended by built-ins expands across one wall.

For a full picture of how dreamy this bungalow is, you simply have to look for yourself. From the narrow built-in bookshelves that cradle the bed in one room, to the vanity made from a French antique buffet in one bathroom, and the copper sink that sits inside it.
