Now You Can Rent Reese Witherspoon’s “Big Little Lies” Beach House

Every time we watch “Big Little Lies,” we think to ourselves, If only we could live in Madeline Mackenzie’s beach house. The Monterey Five own some seriously stunning homes. The characters live in Monterey, California, but the majority of the houses used as filming locations in the show are actually in the Los Angeles area. And now, you can rent one of them for a night. Say hello to Reese Witherspoon’s character’s Malibu mansion.

The 6,000 square-foot home that sleeps 12 is available to rent through Malibu Luxury Vacation Homes. It boasts six bedrooms, two mater suites, two decks, a chef’s kitchen, and a spacious dining room with an ocean view. There’s also a detached two-story 950 square-foot guest house with a full kitchen.

Let’s talk about that chef’s kitchen, because it’s truly massive. It’s fully equipped with professional grade Viking appliances, three ovens, two dishwashers, two sinks, and a wine cellar. In “Big Little Lies,” the Mackenzie family usually gathers around the breakfast bar during meals. But with the dedicated dining area, outdoor decks, and private backyard beach area, there are plenty of seating options.

The exterior was also used in the “Melrose Place” spinoff “Models Inc.” and the Dick Van Dyke series “Diagnosis Murder.”
